Catholic University to Give Award to Abortion Proponent

On July 7, 2004 the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) made the following statement clear as part of their interim report, Catholics in Political Life "The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions." So why then did Loyola University invite former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, an avowed pro-abort and homosexual "marriage" proponent to speak on Sept 1. Their answer here
